Shell Eco-marathon is one of the most outstanding and well recognized international competitions in terms of ultra-efficient vehicles’ mobility. It is a global unique program and exclusive for students,for example, from engeneering, science, technological maths, so that they can develop and build their own efficient vehicle and then take it to the track and compete with teams from all around the globe
The idea of Shell Eco-marathon was born in 1939 in a Shell’s investigation lab in Illinois, USA, when a group of friends made a friendly bet to see who could travel most kilometers per liter of fuel.The winner was able to reach a fuel economy of 21.142 km/L (4.730 L/100km).
