[EN] Our team had the opportunity to visit the facilities of Cascais Próxima, our sponsor and the first company in Portugal to implement hydrogen buses in the public transport sector. Similar to our prototypes, these buses operate using a fuel cell, which utilizes stored hydrogen and atmospheric air to produce energy, powering the electric motors. This partnership is essential for us to continue exploring the potential of hydrogen as a clean energy source, both in competition vehicles and public transportation. [PT] Nas últimas semanas, com foco no último Sprint Day, o Departamento de Dinâmica finalizou o design dos sistemas de Direção e Travagem do nosso segundo protótipo. A equipa também desenvolveu designs inovadores para a Suspensão, implementando um sistema de "trailing arm" na parte traseira. Cada melhoria aproxima-nos do objetivo de aumentar o desempenho do veículo, enquanto nos preparamos para competir na Shell Eco-marathon 2025. [EN] In recent weeks, with focus on the latest Sprint Day, the Dynamics Department finalized the design of the Steering and Braking systems for our second prototype. The team also developed innovative Suspension designs, implementing a trailing arm system for the rear. Each improvement brings us closer to our goal of enhancing the vehicle's performance as we prepare to compete in the 2025 Shell Eco-marathon.

[PT] Nas últimas semanas, o Departamento de Hidrogénio diagnosticou e analisou os principais desafios da Fuel Cell, desenvolvendo software para avaliar a eficiência teórica e real do sistema, otimizou a admissão de ar, aprimorando a comunicação entre a Fuel Cell e os outros componentes. A partir disto, a equipa conseguirá criar um modelo em MATLAB para simular o comportamento do veículo. Estes avanços são passos importantes rumo ao nosso objetivo de aumentar a eficiência do nosso segundo protótipo e conquistar a Shell Eco-marathon 2025! [EN] In recent weeks, the Hydrogen Department has diagnosed and analysed key challenges with the Fuel Cell, developing software to assess the system’s theoretical and real efficiency. This will allow the team to create a MATLAB model to simulate the vehicle’s behaviour, optimize the air intake and enhance communication between the Fuel Cell and other components.
